I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am about tonight. Nashville may be Music City USA, but this town is about to become Music City WORLD. Music City World because Gordon Lightfoot is here. I feel sorry for those of you who may miss this show. Gordie is among the most important singer-songerwriters of our time. Did you know that Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley have all covered his music?

I’ll be there. My dad used to sing “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” to me when I would travel with him in he summers while he was working. I wish he could go with me.

Me too. The memories of Gordie on the 8-track up at my cottage are priceless. It’s not only the memories for me, but also being a Canadian. Gordie really does capture all things Canuck in his music.
I can’t wait.
