A while ago I posted on Twitter that my < Enter > button stopped working in the location bar in FireFox. It was after I upgraded to FireFox3, and it was driving me nuts. The only way I could solve the problem was to open a new window, or simply restart FireFox.

My friends and neighbors on Twitter were quick to tweet their replies. Many people were also experiencing the same problem, so I knew I wasn’t alone. I had exhausted all options to correct the problem when I got a tweet from @firefox_answers. Naturally, I was impressed with their quick response to trying to solve the issue.

I am pleased to announce that there is a solution. The trouble was being caused by the delicious plug-in which many people have installed in FireFox. There has since been an upgrade to the plug-in for version 2.0.73:  http://is.gd/ZH0 (a testing build), or you can switch the plugin to “classic mode” and it should solve the problem.
