It’s exciting to see BarCamp Nashville 2 has been announced. On October, 18th from 9am - 4pm at the Sommet Centre. The new site defines BCN2 as:

BarCamp Nashville is an open-source gathering of technology enthusiasts who come together for one weekend to share what they know and learn what they don’t. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from attendees.

Anyone with something to contribute or with the desire to learn is welcome and invited to join.

As you may know, Marcus and I decided to pass the organizer torch this time. We had originally discussed creating BCN2, but decided that it would be better if we let others take turns running the event. This way each year BarCamp Nashville will have a completely different look and feel to it, we thought it would be much cooler this way. It’s a community un-conference for the people, by the people.

The event is free to attend, so everybody who has any interest in the growing Nashville tech community should be there - that means YOU. I’ll be there as an attendee and speaker. I’ve come up with a session that I think should be very rockin’ called Microblogging - Fast, Fast, Good, Good. I hope you’re there to see it.

Head on over to www.barcampnashville.com for details on BCN2. You should also consider sponsoring and supporting this important event.

Watch this if you missed BarCamp Nashville last year. Cheers!
